Karin Schulze was born in the Black Forest in Germany and started her career in foreign rights at Writers House and then moved on to Crown/PRH where she stayed for 15 years, handling rights across all adult categories. She then switched to Abrams Books where she was in charge of foreign rights for the global publishing phenomenon Diary of A Wimpy Kid, licensing directly in over 60 countries. She handled rights for all children’s categories including the adult graphic novel list, ComicArts. In 2023 she started as the new Rights Director at Curtis Brown. She regularly attends Frankfurt, Bologna and London book fairs.
