Linda Kaplan has been a rights professional for more than 37 years at companies including Random House, Simon & Schuster, Disney Publishing Worldwide and before joining DeFiore and Company, VP, director of rights at the Crown Publishing Group. Linda has sold British, translation, and domestic rights across all categories including business, memoir, history, science, cooking, craft, spirituality, and self-help as well as literary and commercial fiction. She has negotiated many rights licenses on behalf of, among others, Gillian Flynn, Martha Stewart, Deepak Chopra, James Patterson, Matthew McConaughey and Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush.
