For the last ten years I've worked as an author publishing romance books. In 2020 I decided to open a small publishing company and started publishing various authors and works in the foreign market place. It was at that time that I started forging relationships within the agent/publisher space. I pride myself on offering a different experience to my authors as I know what it takes to write and publish books. When I'm not reading queries, or working with my authors you can find me spending time with my husband, two kids, and four dogs in the midwest.

How to successfully present your work
If you’re interested in working with me please send a submission to jlbeck@beckromancebooks.com I’m currently interested in the following genres: Dark Romance, Contemporary Romance, Fantasy/UF, Spicy Fantasy, Paranormal, New Adult, Romantic Suspense/Crime and anything that is fresh and interesting. My favorite tropes are enemies to lovers, and arranged marriage. I love steamy, spicy romance, but I’m also happy with slow burn. In the end what matters most is a great book, with excellent story telling that pulls me in until the very last page. What I’m not interested in: Horror, Young-Adult, Poetry, Picture books, Childerns books, Memoirs, and Screenplays. Please understand that all submissions are considered and that my goal is to respond to every single query. I’m grateful for your submission and look forward to hearing from you. About the Query: Please include your bio, and the first ten pages of your work pasted into the email. Include your goals, what genre(s) you write, how many books you’ve published, any trad publishing deals, if you’ve worked with an agent before, and what you’re looking to get out of working with me.
