Bonnie Solow
Solow Literary
After many years as a journalist and film and publishing executive, Bonnie found her true calling when she established Solow Literary Enterprises in 1997. Curious and adventurous by nature, Bonnie has traveled and lived around the globe. She has kayaked in Alaska, trekked across New Zealand and Sri Lanka, salsa danced in Havana, communed with elephants in Laos, and lived for a year in a Calabrian village where the residents speak medieval French. Oh, and when she was younger she was kissed by Elvis, worked as Joe Cocker's maid, and babysat for Bob Dylan's kids. Her Italian is pretty decent and her French is so-so. She is a fierce devotee of Mother Nature. Bonnie has spoken to writers at the Stanford Writer’s Workshop, the American Society of Journalists and Authors, and the California Institute of Integral Studies and is a member of the Association of American Literary Agents and The Authors Guild. Acting as a creative midwife and literary manager, Bonnie is committed to representing projects that make positive contributions to the world through information and inspiration. She represents credentialed experts in the fields of health, science, medicine, business, personal development, parenting, psychology, history, and cultural studies.

How to successfully present your work
We are taking on very few new projects at this time to allow us to focus on the needs of our current clients. As a result, we are more discerning than ever when evaluating new material. Clients represented by our agency have stellar credentials, established platforms and cutting-edge, original content. We do not represent fiction or screenplays, therefore, we do not respond to queries about projects in these categories. If you would like us to consider your work, please send a single-page query letter via email to info@solowliterary.com that answers the following questions: What is your book about? Why does it have to be written? Why are you the best person to write it? Unfortunately, due to the number of queries received, we will typically only respond to submissions if we are interested in seeing more material. Solow Literary represents projects in the areas of: Health and Wellness, Business, Science, Nature, Education, Psychology, Cultural Studies, Memoir, and Narrative Nonfiction.
