Diana Finch Literary Agency
I represent journalists, memoir, narrative nonfiction, science, environmental books of all kinds, from lifestyle to popular science and adventure science. Recent titles in the last category include THE JOURNEYS OF TREES by Zach St. George (W. W. Norton) and OWLS OF THE EASTERN ICE by Jonathan Slaght (FSG). I also handle several estates including that of pioneering feminist science fiction author Joanna Russ. Longtime Chair of the AALA International Committee, I handle foreign rights for my own list, the G Agency's list including Shirley Ann Grau and Ernest Gaines, the Markson Agency backlist, and noir mystery novelist of the 1940s and 50s Dorothy J. Hughes. I founded my own agency, located in the Flatiron District of New York City, after working at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates and Ellen Levine Literary Agency, and starting out in publishing as an editorial assistant at St. Martin's Press. I'm also a voting rights activist and board member of my neighborhood community association which is especially active in Bronx Park East.
