Born and raised in metropolitan New York, owner and principal agent, Elizabeth Wales has now lived as many years in the Pacific Northwest as in the New York area, so she is thoroughly bi-coastal. She began her career in publishing at Oxford University Press, also worked in the Strand Bookstore, and in sales and marketing at Viking Penguin in New York. A graduate of Smith College, majoring in English, graduating with distinction in her major, she did graduate studies at Columbia University in American Literature. She worked in City Government in Boston. Also, she was elected and served on the Seattle School Board and continues to be active in her community. She is a member of The Author's Guild and AALA.
