Jackie Kruzie

Focused Artists

Jackie Kruzie has worn many hats in the literary world including author, librarian, editor, and literary associate. She holds a master’s degree in library science and worked in both school and public libraries before transitioning into publishing. She was the editor of a small press before completing an agent internship with Olswanger Literary. She is currently building her kidlit list as a Literary Associate with Focused Artists. Jackie is a writer in her own right, and the author of The Lousy Layup, a graphic novel published by Capstone Publishing, and a contributing chapter in Serving Patrons with Disabilities published by The American Library Association. Her chapter titled Talk With Me received national recognition and was featured in American Libraries Magazine earning her an invitation to speak at the 2023 ALA conference. Jackie has taught numerous workshops on writing and literacy at writing and library conferences nationwide. She understands the positive impacts books have on individuals and communities and is eager to usher relevant high-quality books to eager readers.
