Jessica Saint Jean

Jessica is an agent specializing in visual storytellers and one of the founding members of AALA's Illustration Committee. Before joining Root Literary in 2024, Jessica was an agent at Jill Grinberg Literary Management where she launched a boutique list of children's book illustrators. Jessica worked in publishing for a decade before jumping to the other side of the desk – first as an editor at Barefoot Books, and then in the art department at Candlewick Press – enabling her to bring experience from both an art and editorial perspective to her role as an agent.
