Patricia Nelson

Patricia Nelson represents adult, young adult, and middle grade fiction, and enjoys working with both debut and established authors to build successful long-term careers. Her clients include NYT and indie bestsellers, a National Book Award finalist, and winners of ALA Youth Media Awards including multiple Printz Honor and Stonewall Honor recipients. Before joining Marsal Lyon Literary Agency in 2014, she spent four years as a university-level instructor of literature and writing. Patricia received her bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary, and also holds a master’s degree in English Literature from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree in Gender Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
