Rebecca Rodd
Levine Greenberg Rostan Literary Agency
Rebecca Rodd joined Levine Greenberg Rostan Literary Agency in August of 2020 and currently assists Danielle Svetcov, Kerry Sparks, and Sarah Bedingfield, while building her own list. Rebecca received her Bachelor’s degree in English from (the illustrious) Spelman College and holds a Master’s degree in Library Science from CUNY Queens College. Before joining the agency, she was a Library Information Supervisor at Brooklyn Public Library, where she specialized in children's literature and programming. As a reader, Rebecca enjoys reading across age groups and genres. In adult, she gravitates towards towards romantasy, upmarket commercial fiction, women's fiction, stories with a speculative bend, or a great book club romcom. In YA, she's mostly interested in contemporary and also stories with darker, more complex themes. In children's, Rebecca is interested in MG novels featuring dynamic ensemble casts and stories about friendships, and picture books that you can read aloud again and again (and again). In the non-fiction space, Rebecca is interested in millennial experiences and perspectives, as well as social commentary, especially if it challenges us to re-examine aspects of our identity, community, or society at large. Across the board, Rebecca is currently looking for: - Stories that center people of color, and other underrepresented voices, filled with nuance and dimension - Anything set on an HBCU campus - A BIPOC Big Bang Theory - Alternating timelines and/or voices, and other creative storytelling structures - Things that can be categorized as "new adult" - Something with the same balance of depth and levity as Shrinking Clients include Arushi Avachat, Paige Classey, Maytal Eyal, Pieper James, Emily Marano, and Kanessa Miller. Rebecca is based in Atlanta.
