Membership Committee

The Membership Committee’s mission is to grow and retain our member base.

We aim to diversify our membership so that our organization reflects a range of experiences, knowledge, areas of expertise, and backgrounds; create a more welcoming, inclusive, and equitable organization by means of our application process, membership requirements, and in our communication with newly accepted members; propose and create membership perks; and, in conjunction with the Communications Committee, communicate the value of membership to current and prospective members.

We are currently looking for new committee members! Individual experiences as either a new or longtime AALA member will be helpful to us in thinking about ways to grow and retain our current membership. Our committee is also a great way to meet other AALA members.
